Alexandra Freedman Smith joined the firm as an associate in 2002. After a temporary hiatus in 2005 after the birth of her daughter, Alexandra returned to practice with the firm in 2006. Alexandra represents clients in both civil and criminal cases in state and federal court, including clients who have been injured by the negligence of others, clients who have been victims of unlawful insurance practices, clients charged with misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses, clients who have had property seized by the government in forfeiture proceedings, clients whose civil rights have been violated and clients involved in civil litigation. Her trial experience has included a felony weeklong jury trial in which the jury only needed five minutes of deliberation before reaching their decision to acquit.
